26:11 But I have integrity! ¹ 

Rescue me ²  and have mercy on me!

15:2 Whoever lives a blameless life, ³ 

does what is right,

and speaks honestly. ⁴ 

Mazmur 25:21

25:21 May integrity and godliness protect me,

for I rely on you!

[26:11]  ¹ tn Heb “and I in my integrity walk.” The psalmist uses the imperfect verbal form to emphasize this is his practice. The construction at the beginning of the verse (conjunction + pronoun) highlights the contrast between the psalmist and the sinners mentioned in vv. 9-10.

[26:11]  ² tn Or “redeem me.”

[15:2]  ³ tn Heb “one who walks blamelessly.”

[15:2]  ⁴ tn Heb “one who speaks truth in his heart”; or “one who speaks truth [that is] in his heart.” This apparently refers to formulating a truthful statement in one’s mind and then honestly revealing that statement in one’s speech.
